Description
Opraclean dressings support wound cleansing by absorbing wound exudate, cell debris and bacteria. Even deep wound pockets and wound cavities can be tamponaded out very well with Opraclean. At the same time, the dressing materials impregnated with Iodoform have an antimicrobial effect*. In contact with the wound secretion, Iodoform decomposes and continuously releases small amounts of iodine from the dressing material. Another advantage: pathogens are not known to be resistant to iodine. 100 % cotton (gauze) impregnated with Iodoform.
*Antimicrobial and antifungal activity confirmed for Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumonia and Candida albicans based on in vitro studies.
