Description
Mopylen®, a blue non-absorbable monofilament of polypropylene, is
especially suitable for long-term implantations as used in cardiac and
vascular surgery. Due to its hydrophobic character, the monofilament
does not expand in tissue. This advantage greatly facilitates passage
through tissue as well as woundhealing. Therefore, Mopylen® has gained
wide acceptance for skin closure as well.
