Mepilex Ag combines the properties of the Safetac® technology with the antimicrobial properties of silver. Mepilex Ag has a fast and long-lasting effect. Wound related pathogens are being inactivated surely within 30 minutes with sustained effect up to 7 days, including MRSA. At dressing removal Mepilex Ag, does not stick to the wound or strip surrounding skin, minimising patient pain and wound trauma, does not remove epithelial cells and layer seals around the wound edges, thus minimises the risk of maceration.
