Description
The JetCan® Pro safety needle is a non-piercing needle for puncturing implanted port systems. It is compatible with high-pressure ports and is suitable for performing high-pressure injections in connection with diagnostic procedures. The integrated safety mechanism reduces the risk of needlestick injuries and contact with hazardous fluids.
- Patented safety mechanism to protect against needlestick injuries
- Minimised exposure to hazardous fluids and aerosols
- Made from chemical resistant materials
- Suitable for high-pressure injections (together with a high-pressure suitable port system)
- Movable and removable wings for a better grip
- Transparent base with comfort pad
- Design with Y-attachment for simultaneous drug administration during infusion
- MRI compatibility (under certain conditions)
Advantages
Protection against needlestick injuries The patented JetCan® Pro safety lifting needle protection mechanism is automatically activated when the needle is
from the port septum. An audible click signals the protected locking of the cannula in the housing.
Minimises contact with hazardous liquids
A unique protective mechanism ensures that the cannula is completely enclosed by a double-sided tape when it is completely enclosed by a double-sided tape. Safety lifting needle
Made from chemical-resistant materials
Enables the administration of aggressive medication without damaging the material The use of biocompatible materials without DEHP and latex offers additional protection for the patient.
Suitable for high pressure injections
With up to 21 bar (300 psi) at a maximum flow rate of 2 to 5 ml/s, e.g. for the administration of contrast media (only in combination with a corresponding high-pressure suitable port system).
Details
- The movable, detachable wings of the JetCan® Pro safety hypodermic needle can be folded up for a better grip during injection.
- When folded down, they form a flat profile for easy application of the sterile dressing.
- A compact and transparent base allows visual inspection of the puncture site to detect signs of infection.
- A comfort pad on the underside of the base provides cushioning between the patient’s skin and the injection cannula.
- The JetCan® Pro safety hypodermic needle in the Y-attachment version allows additional medication to be administered without interrupting an ongoing infusion.
