- Diabetic ulcers
- Surgical wounds
- Secondary healing wounds
- Skin graft wounds
- Fistula tracts and tunnelled wounds
- Second degree burns
- Traumatic wounds
- Wounds that are prone to bleeding, such as wounds that have been surgically or mechanically debrided
