Cutimed Sorbact binds germs according to the principle of hydrophobic interaction and does not require the use of chemical antimicrobial substances: the special Sorbact coating gives the product strong hydrophobic (water-repellent) properties. Many pathogenic bacteria and fungi are naturally hydrophobic and therefore bind irreversibly to the wound dressing. This reduces the bacterial count in the wound with every dressing change and creates optimal conditions for the natural wound healing process.
