The conical tips of the Mediware swabs perfectly adapt to the cervical canal. The material properties and dimensions of the foam cones facilitate the reception of the cells.
In oposite to rigid spatulas and brushes, the cells are not torn out of the tissue with a conical swab. Such cells are not damaged and the patient does not bleed.
